DAY AT THE BEACH
On Tuesday October 11, 2022 Surrealist Artist Joan Miro's 1927 painting titled "Peinture (Etolle Bleue)" sold at auction for a record $36,946,396. This painting is wonderful, but far from Miro's most interesting. I decided to do another "Tribute to Miro" painting in honor of this unique artist whose paintings bring a smile to its viewers, which is rare in these troubled times. My Tribute Painting was inspired by Miro's characters and painting techniques with lots of "Artistic License" applied. This painting is on gallery-wrap canvas with two sides painted. Can be viewed at Venture Gallery in Monterey California for a few weeks. Found a good home!
